Does the LG G series OLED evo have ACR?

Yes.

Yes. It runs LG webOS and the fingerprinting is on unless you turned it off. The toggle is "Live Plus" and "Viewing Information" and "Personalized Advertising".

LG bought the ACR company Alphonso in 2021 and runs it as LG Ad Solutions. The TV samples the screen and audio continuously and reports what you watch on every input. LG calls the feature "Live Plus" and buries a second consent under User Agreements.

Ads, recommendations and voice each have their own toggle. None of them are covered by the main switch.

Applies to All webOS models

  1. All Settings > Support > Privacy & Terms > User Agreements. Uncheck "Viewing Information", "Personalized Advertising", and "Voice Information"
  2. All Settings > General > Home Settings. Turn off "Home Promotion" and "Content Recommendation"
  3. Sign out of the LG account if unused

What the switch does not cover

  • Some firmware greys out User Agreement items until you re-accept the master agreement. Re-accept, then uncheck the sub-items.
  • LG Channels (free channels) keeps its own ad pipeline running regardless.
