LG calls it "Live Plus". Here is exactly where to find it.

Short answer

Yes, an LG TV uses ACR, called "Live Plus". To turn it off: Press the gear button on the remote to open Quick Settings, then choose All Settings, then open General, then open Additional Settings. On some years it sits one level deeper, as System > Additional Settings, then turn "Live Plus" off.

Drawn from the current menu, because LG has taken the 2018 to 2020 manuals offline and we could not confirm how those panels looked. The path is LG's own.

Questions

Does an LG TV have ACR?
Yes. LG TVs use automatic content recognition (ACR) to track what is on screen for ads, under the name "Live Plus".
How do I turn off ACR on an LG TV?

Is my LG TV spying on me?
LG TVs track what is on screen for ads once you accept the viewing agreement. Gamers Nexus measured an LG TV doing it even when it was only used as a computer monitor. Switch off Live Plus; the steps are above.
Will turning it off break anything?
No. Apps, inputs and updates keep working. You may lose personalised recommendations.
Does it stay off?
Menus can change with firmware updates, so check again after a big one.

Keep it off with The Box

Updates can move the switch. The Box blocks the tracking on your network instead. It is not built yet.
