How to turn it off

- Open Settings, then System
- Open "Interactive Service" and turn it off
Other switches and limits
Applies to All Google TV devices
- Settings > Privacy > Ads: choose "Delete advertising ID"
- TCL's manual only says Interactive Service is where you configure the interactive service. RTINGS found it was the content-recognition control on a TCL QM8K.
- TCL warns that menu names and places vary by model and software version. If yours does not match, tap Report.
- Verdict shown as ACR because we cannot tell from the network whether content recognition is switched on. Check the setting above.
Keep it off with The Box
Updates can move the switch. The Box blocks the tracking on your network instead. It is not built yet.
