# How to turn off ACR on a Vizio TV

Setting name: "Viewing Data"

Newest firmware, applies to VIZIO OS, the newest sets (Privacy & Legal menu):

1. Press the Menu button on the remote
2. Open Privacy & Legal
3. Turn the "Viewing Data" toggle to Off

Older firmware, applies to SmartCast, 2020 to 2023 (Admin & Privacy menu):

1. Press the Menu button on the remote
2. Open Admin & Privacy. It sits at the top level, not inside System.
3. Highlight "Viewing Data" and press the right arrow until it reads Off

Older firmware, applies to SmartCast, 2016 to 2019:

1. Press the Menu button on the remote
2. Open System
3. Open Reset & Admin
4. Highlight "Viewing Data" and press the right arrow until it reads Off
